This time of year (and, heck, all of the time) we are bombarded with pleas from arts organizations for financial help. Well, here’s a fabulous article outlining all of the wonderful (and marketable!) skills learned in arts classes and lessons. For children, learning these skills will be valuable not only if they choose to pursue arts as adults, but no matter what career or path they follow.
And yes, adults can always improve these skills as well. Nothing spells dedication like an adult who takes time out of a busy schedule to practice singing or an instrument, take a dance class, or paint a watercolor. What have the arts given you?
